Stolen car; Suspect Arrested Print E-mail

On Thursday, November 16, 2017, at about 12:57 pm, Police responded to a reported stolen car incident located at Zhan Yu Market, Isa Drive, Capitol Hill.  Police met with the victims’, an Asian couple, both 39 years old and learned that the victim’s left their car, a 2015 Red Toyota 4 Runner SUV parked in the store parking lot unattended with the car engine running.  Both victims were in the store for a few minutes.  When they exited the store, their car was gone.

Police reviewed the store’s closed circuit television and witnessed the suspect, later identified as Hitler Weilbacher, age 20, get into the parked unattended car and drive away.  A description of the suspect and the car was dispatched via radio alerting patrol and traffic officers on duty. 

At about 1:18 pm, Police located the stolen car traveling south at the intersection traffic light of Chalan Pale Arnold road, and Gualo Rai road.  Police conducted a “Felony Stop” (high risk violator stop) across the street from the Triple J Motors Highway Express on Chalan Pale Arnold Road, Gualo Rai.

The suspect Hitler Weilbacher was arrested and taken into custody without incident.  The victim (female driver) of the stolen car was issued a citation for leaving her car unattended and engine running (9CMC -5606).
