The Police Officer assigned to this section is responsible for the purchasing, maintenance and repair of highway patrol and police response vehicles as well as other department vehicles. This section is additionally tasked with equipping newly purchased police response vehicles with the necessary emergency equipment and lighting.
The duty of this section is to ensure the maintenance of the department’s building and grounds, such as improving and maintaining the facility’s electrical, mechanical and environmental systems. The Police Officer assigned to this section also handles police officers’ logistical needs and construction and renovation projects for the department’s facilities.
